Jameson Distillery Bow St.

Along with few friends we went to visit Jameson Distillery Bow St. Tour was very well presented and we had a good time. I would recommend this tour even to a person who is not a fan of whiskey.

The Planet

I just had this mad idea today to tale a picture of this planet.

IMRA - Glen Of Aherlow Trail Half-Marathon

I am not sure how exactly we decided to go and run this half. Mathew, Dave, Allan and I did however. The event was organised by IMRA. The course was nice sandy forested trail. I did have an epic fall. I fell into a huge puddle about 5km in :) no major damage. We all finished with a respectable time. Allan found a great restaurant where we had a dinner. A pint later in the "local" and we were back in the campsite. We had a great time!

Birds in the kitchen - packaging gem

I like this humour on Tefal pan's packaging, "...it is recommended to keep the birds out of the kitchen." Why did they pick birds? Who knows...

Garden Update - Veg planters in action

We planted radishes, broccoli (romanesco), and some beets. At this stage radishes are nearly all eaten. Broccoli did not develop the flowers yet. There are some problems with beets. The leaves seem to turn grey and wilt. Today I sowed new batch of radishes. Fingers crossed :)

Garden Update - Veg Planters

This year we decided to plant some vegetable. We used wood from pallets. Few pallets were more than enough to make those planters. We laid the planters with used compost bags and other plastic foil packaging. We used the reciprocating saw with blade for wood with nails to take the pallets apart.

Difference Day - Holy Family School for the Deaf Cabra

I was making a difference in Holy Family School for the Deaf in Cabra with Difference Days. It was a mighty day with Denis and the crew! I am very happy to be part of this great project. With help of Aer Lingus Airlines we built greenhouse, planters, playground, football pitch and sensory garden. Below some pictures before and after.
