Library – Trinity College Dublin

We went to see the Book of Kells in Trinity College. The book exhibition is a-OK. But the Trinity College Library! I could spend all day there just looking at it. The ambience is very special.

The vanilla face - Gem

Here it is. I was minding my own business. Having my birthday that everybody forgot about, anyway. Went to Lidl and bought a good auld vanilla ice cream. Brought it home, made my cup of tea. Flip opened the plastic box... and what?! There he is staring at me! The Vanilla Face!

The National Maritime Museum of Ireland

The National Maritime Museum of Ireland is located in Mariners Church in Dun Laoghaire. I would highly recommend it. There some great exhibits, ship models, and drawings. Even the way it is in the church is very cool.

Kick Start New Year

I knew about swim in Bray on the New Year for some time. I even drove pass the sign on the day one time and thought - maybe next year. Many good things in my life happen by a chance. Those were the turning points in my life or just good memories. This was how I got first "real" job, found college, met my wife.

Here just by coincidence my brother in law was in town on the day. He said he wanted to go and take a part in Bray New Year's Day swim. By a chance he has seen it in the paper or on a poster. So, this is how I got to the sea on 1st January 2018.
